The Golden Acorn

Welcome

The Golden Acorn hotel has recently undergone some new and exciting changes, transforming many of the bedrooms and communal areas of the hotel. We have 26 bedrooms, all of which are available as either king-size doubles or twins. All of our rooms are en suite and include tea- and coffee-making facilities, complementary water, a hairdryer and flat-screen TV. Unlimited free Wi-Fi is available throughout the hotel and in the bar area. Rooms with adjoining doors are available, on request, ideal for families or larger groups – please contact the hotel directly for more details: goldenacornhotel@jdwetherspoon.co.uk

The Fife region has much to welcome visitors. Golfers delight in the array of courses available. One of the most famous of them all, St Andrews, is just a 20-mile drive away. For non-golfers, the beautiful scenery of the Fife area is one of its main attractions, as are some of Scotland’s best-kept beaches, the delightful East Neuk fishing villages and the historic Falkland Palace, former residence of Mary, Queen of Scots (just a 10-minute drive away). Walkers and wildlife-lovers can explore the surrounding countryside and walk the Fife Coastal path. Great walks can also be found on the nearby Lomond Hills and at Loch Leven.
