Our History
“Centrally located, opposite the war memorial, this pub is deceptively large with an elongated bar and an open-plan layout with some cosy corners.”( The Good Beer Guide 2015
) and the two, large, real fires really add to the atmosphere over the winter.
A café bar in the late 1990s, this building had been The Waggon and Horses since 1818. Its original name was restored by Wetherspoon in 2003.
